Jax Power, born Joseph Jackson Phiri on 29 January in Chipata, is a Zambian recording artist, songwriter, and performer based in Lusaka. Known for his passion for music and growing presence in the Zambian music scene, he has continued to build his name through dedication, talent, and a distinctive artistic style.

Jax Power discovered his love for music at an early age. At just 16 years old, he began his musical journey by singing in his school choir, where he developed his vocal ability and gained confidence as a performer. That early experience laid the foundation for what would later become a serious career in music.

In 2018, he took an important step forward by entering the recording space and releasing his first song, “Life Niyokosa.” The song marked the beginning of his professional path as a recording artist and introduced his sound to a wider audience. He later followed it with his second release, “African Queen,” a song that significantly raised his profile and helped him gain popularity across Chipata.

As an artist, Jax Power continues to grow through his commitment to creating music that connects with listeners. His journey from choir singer to recording artist reflects both his perseverance and his ambition to make a lasting impact in the industry. With his roots in Chipata and his work now centred in Lusaka, he represents a new generation of Zambian talent making its mark through authentic expression and consistent effort.
