2020 Mosi Day of Thunder Cancelled & Rescheduled
The 2020 Mosi day of thunder which was scheduled to take place on 23 May 2020 has been canceled.
As first reported by media news channel Mwebantu, Zambian breweries country director said: “This was not an easy decision but we have to put the safety of our community first. Around the world, festivals, sporting events, and community celebrations are being canceled or postponed due to concerns over the spread of COVID 19; and ours should not be an exception. It is a collective responsibility to fight the spread of this pandemic. And we trust that our consumers will understand this as a joint effort to protect our community.”
However, the new date for the prestigious event has already been announced as 10 October 2020. Contrary to previous years, the event will not be held in Livingston. Rather it will be held in Lusaka at the R & G Arena.
Local artists scheduled to perform at the 2020 Mosi day of thunder are Mampi, Chef 187, Slapdee, Macky 2, Jay Rox, Yo Maps, Mic Burner, Magg 44, Natasha Chansa and Dope boys. This year’s Guest artist south African DJ Pince is still set to perform.
