Abel Chungu Musuka is wrapping up the year with a touching song titled “Nakupeza,” which he has dedicated to his late father, Ambassador Otema Sy Musuka.
In a heartfelt reflection on this deeply personal song, Abel Chungu shared on social media: “A memoir of my late father Ambassador Otema Sy Musuka who passed on November 22nd 2009. My heart goes out to all who have lost their fathers.
My father and I sat outside, just the two of us, and he told me adventurous stories of his life. We laughed so hard. But when he was done, I told him, “Please write a book.” He said he couldn’t write a book because he wouldn’t be able to see the end of it (his life).
Sadly, on November 22nd, 2009, that life came to an end. Even though he never wrote that book, I, as his son with a gift of writing, have put that life into a song.”
